Most overrated coach in the HISTORY of college basketball. Always has the best talent and rarely goes very far in the tourny. Plus he's ugly!

I sure hope this is a poor attempt at sarcasm.

Not sarcasm at all. Every year he has the BEST team...year in and year out. How many times have they won the NC? Maybe 2! They underachieve almost every year. Special K is not the super coach he's made out to be.

John Wooden retired at 65. Do you think he might have continued coaching if he knew he was going to live to 99? I think Coach K will continue to coach for as long as he enjoys it, or until his back ailments prevent him from being able.

The prosecution rests:

So much fail, please go back to the rant.

sarcasm or idiocy are hard to differentiate
If you think Duke was better than tOSU or Kansas this year I'm not sure how to start a discussion

And this coming from a Duke hater...

let alone 1991 when they won the first of his 4 titles.

To answer the original question, probably in 3-4 years (once he gets 1,000 wins) he starts seriously thinking about retirement. I really think he wants to pursue that plateau, which has never been done at the D-1 level.
Add another year and he would pass Harry Statham's all time record for wins at the college level (1,022 wins though all his were at NAIA schools) which he may want to pursue.
Cross the 1,000 win mark, and if he pulls off another championship, he may hang it up then.

It was kinda interesting to see him get stopped on the same # of wins as his mentor Bob Knight
Some small part of me wonders if he might be tempted to listen to the Lakers and leave college with the same # of wins.
Probably not tho. The time to have left for the NBA was probably five plus years ago... Hell if he leaves college coaching Calhoun would catch his win total within two years
More likely he coaches a while longer

Coach K is currently two wins short of Knight -- he had 900 going into last night's contest, Knight has 902.

My bad...I should have said that Duke has the best players year in and year out. They recruit nationwide and can get anyone they want, much like LSU baseball. The fact that they don't have the best team is my point exactly!

molsusports....you are probably retarded. Might want to have that checked.

Good God, you could not be any dumber.
Duke RARELY has the most talented or athletic team in the field. They've won 4 national championships and made multiple other deep runs in the tourney because they are the best prepared and most fundamentally-sound team on the floor.
Arizona's athleticism last night just overtook Duke in the 2nd half. Derrick Williams is amazing. Duke does not have an athlete like that in the front court and hasn't since Elton Brand, maybe Luol Deng.
...Also, why were our USA Olympic teams always underachieving? We always had the most talent in the world but kept losing.
We get Coach K to take over, and boom...gold medal even though the international game is MUCH more conducive to European style of play instead of what you are accustomed to in the NBA.

Duke doesn't have athletic degrees like most schools.
