The Los Angeles Clippers have contacted the Boston Celtics about a potential trade surrounding Kevin Garnett, according to sources.

The two teams were talking ahead of Sunday's game against each other.

The Clippers' offer could include Eric Bledsoe and Caron Butler.

It'd be a nice step in the retooling of the Celtic franchise to pick up Bledsoe.

They better get an extension down on Chris Paul before they even consider trading Bledsoe. Trade Bledsoe, Paul heads somewhere else and the Clippers are back to a mediocre team

You seen the Clippers without Paul right now? They're garbage. Bledsoe is an exciting player, but expecting him to start full time is a bit too much.

If the Celtics make this deal, they might as well go after another trade for a quality big (which could mean giving up Pierce to a contender and kissing the season completely goodbye).

Celtics after this deal (if it happens would have):

PG - Bradley, Bledsoe, Barbosa
SG - Lee, Terry, Barbosa
SF - Pierce, Butler, Green
PF - Bass, Wilcox
C - Collins, Melo

Since when has Donald Sterling shown himself to be an intelligent owner?

Probably, but KG stretches the floor really well with that above mid-range jumper.

To have a team friendly contract at a position where you have injury history, and with the option to move him for other assets more readily than a guy getting 20 million a year with 53,000+ NBA regular season and playoff minutes on his odometer?

Yeah-- it is a nice step in the retooling of the franchise.
