Most of them were insanely rich before Sterling and not a single one of them needs Sterling to be insanely rich, so I'm not so sure of your point.

Blake Griffin?

The Jordan kid?

Point being they can stage a protest by wearing shite inside out or whatever the hell they did but unless they are willing to put their money where their mouth is its all a facade.

Sterling is a POS a-hole but none of this will affect him if it doesn't hurt his pocketbook.

They do have a choice. Nobody is making them go to work.

Yea, and you know what would really destroy his pocket book? Having to not pay his players because they refuse to play.

The guy is obviously a dumbass and I understand why the players would be offended but some of the comments about this are ridiculous. Like LeBron saying he'd boycott a playoff game if he were on the Clips...yeah, sure you would LBJ.

well, to be fair LBJ is probably the one guy who could do it and get away with it

He could but LeBron wouldn't risk missing out on a championship run. Maybe if they were up 3-1 or something but not in a competitive series. And I don't blame the players for not boycotting. They've worked all their lives to get to this point and to let some ignorant owner's opinion change that would be sad.

If it really bothered them that much, then don't fricking play. It's not hard. But they are trying to "provide for their family" aka want that money just like the rest of the world.

What if all the black players boycott and JJ Reddick has to play the Warriors by himself?

Why? I'm sure you think turning a jersey inside out was genius

I said nothing of the kind.

It's stupid for someone to say the players should self-immolate their career aspirations to protest ownership's foibles.

what about all of the players (and in bill simmons' case, season ticket holders) who implicitly supported the known racist sterling? did they flip from the wrong side of history to the right side of history this weekend?

Sterling is a racist regardless of his political leanings. If you want to engage in a democrat v. republican circle jerk than take it to poli board that was made for that BS. That goes for him and you...happy?

I was referring to the people of the board that are making arguments siding with Donald Sterling. I know you get off on debating with people on this board so I will not further engage with your posts.

Question:

For ESPN purposes, if you're a white player for the Clippers who just so happens to not give a frick about the whole ordeal because it's the playoffs and you don't turn your jersey inside out, does that make you racist too?

Reminds me of Chappelle Show with Travis Knight vs Todd MacCulloch with the reparations segment.

To be fair, Griffin would be able to play too...for a half.
