I love the moves the Cavs have recently made. The body language since the trade is noticeably different. Add that Lebron looks healthy, i think the Cavs are about to take off. Here is their upcoming schedule for the next 12 games. Do they go on a run? 12-0 best case scenario which would make them (34-20). 9-3 worst case scenario which would make them (31-23).

Utah - W
Charlotte - W
OKC - W
@Detroit - W
Portland - W
Sacramento - W
@Minnesota - W
Philadelphia - W
LA C - W
@Indiana
LA L
Miami

I only see 3 potential losses IMO.

It's the Cavs, so who knows how they are going to play game by game.

There are more than just 3 potential losses though.

OKC, Portland, and Clippers

for every one of those three they win, they'll drop one of their sure wins over this stretch

The Cavs are not consistent enough to even predict their wins and losses. They can just as easily lose to Charlotte or Utah as Portland or the Clippers.

I'll say 9-3. They probably win one or two of the tough 3 and drop an easy one.

I would agree with you and am rather tempted to make large "Cavs win Eastern Conference" wager at +240. Tons of hedging opportunity assuming they at least get out of 1st round.

Cavs easily defeat Utah last night. This new Cavs team looks different. I like it!!!!

This isn't the same team that trounced by the Hawks a couple of weeks ago.

12 games is a LOT to make up. But home court isn't as important to the Cavs as it is the Hawks. With a superstar with tons of playoff experience, home court won't be much of a factor if Cleveland is rolling going into the playoffs. They were hitting their stride earlier in the season with Varajeo healthy and immediately struggled with him out of the lineup. People laughed at the 2 firsts for Mozgov, but it was a no brainer for them. Defense is improving and since getting LeBron back healthy, they look like a team figuring things out. A healthy Shumpert will add another defensive player that can help on the perimeter.

JR Smith has been playing great too. Both trades have played out well so far.

Looking forward to getting Shumpert's defensive presence. Kyrie has stepped up his defense a considerable amount lately too.
