That’s for the year not each individual game. You continue to use different standards for different players. Strouds first five games last year are statistically pretty much the same as what Jones has done this year yet you say Jones is playing better.

Stroud had time to throw today and went 23/27 for 244 and four TDs with 2 sacks the Texans have one of the worst OL in the League but they played well today 167 yards rushing too
I’m not convinced Stroud is more than a Cousins, Schaub type (mid, not going to be terrible, can’t win the biggest games) but the Texans border on an unserious organization so I do think he’s a bit hard to judge. Do we really think Stroud wouldn’t win games with Shanny or McVay?

You can make as many excuses as you’d like - as I know you will because yall did the same thing last year -
Now we get to the heart of it, you have a grudge against Stroud because of what posters said on this board
Btw having a bad OL and no WR is not an “excuse” if you look at it on a game by game basis he was better with Collins and Diggs last year than after they were both hurt.

but Stroud was in the bottom of the league last year.
And the goal posts keep on moving
No one has claimed Stroud was good last year overall, he did have a few good games however if you want to use the start of this season to “prove” some other QBs are “better”. But I was a bad season, one bad season, but based on the one data point you say he’s a bust,
meanwhile a QB like Darnold had 4 awful seasons as a starter and was a backup for 2 years, has a good season in his 7th year is now better. So why can a guy who had 4 seasons worse than Strouds 2024 become good after he gets good coaching and better weapons but Stroud can’t?

Maybe but how many other guys that the OP says are definitely better are in the same situation? He has won 2 playoff games in 2 years and played well in both. Was not good in the 2 playoff losses against better teams on the road, kinda the ceiling the Texans have always run up against

Are we hyping Stroud because he beat teams that are a combined 2-8?

More of a commentary that a "bad" QB was the AFC player of the week.

Remember. OP spent a decent portion of the mid to late 2010s pushing Eric Gordon being more valuable than Draymond Green

It’s no wonderlic on why he’s shite

My favorite slackster thing is arguing for a team to go for 2 when they are down 14 and get a TD.

He’s had a nice streak.
The previous 19 games though…

His career QB rating is 93.3. He’s at 93.7 for this season.
He’s been league average since he came into the league. That puts him in the 17-22 range for starting QBs.
