Chris Paul's contract is one of the worst current contracts in pro sports.

Houston fans in this thread sound salty that they choked in the playoffs and now their team is in shambles

I am sure Presti is patting himself on the back today saying to himself “see that’s why I traded harden”

What has houston accomplished that OKC hasn't since Harden left OKC?

The Lakers need a 3rd superstar...

I would be okay with delaying the trade to July 30th if it means the Lakers get Chris Paul

That still doesn’t make the harden trade worth it. They traded away an MVP and elite all time scorer for peanuts because they had cap trouble for one year before the cap spike.

jones’ tweet is beyond retarded. You think presti would gets roasted for years for the trade and not let it leak that Harden is the team cancer he is being accused of right now?

I am not saying harden is perfect but with perfect hindsight Houston does that trade again 100% and OKC doesn’t.

I'm just waiting for Boom's thoughts on this situation. Something has to be wrong because no way a HOF guy like CP3 wouldn't want to play with a high IQ, top 2 four out of 5 years guy like James. That dog don't hunt.

I'm calling it:
The Knicks will whiff on big time free agents and trade for CP3.

I would too, trust me. But even then, with AD waiving his kicker, trading all players left under contract, and letting go of holds, I'm not sure they can get there.

Would Houston gamble on John Wall? It's going to take a nearly equivalently terrible contract to get this done.
Why would the Wizards take that deal?

Insurance policy is paying 80% of John Wall's salary while he's out. And why would they want to get rid of Wall's contract only to take back a contract that still has 3 years and $124 million left for an aging and injury prone player like CP3? Even if he stays healthy, CP3 isn't turning the Wizards into contenders. So Washington would be better off tanking for a season and hoping Wall comes back strong in 2020-21 season.
