Seriously, who the frick is going to want that contract?

Would Houston gamble on John Wall? It's going to take a nearly equivalently terrible contract to get this done.

Nope once its done its done.

The only way out is a trade, a buyout/stretch provision (which in this case would be beyond insane and untenable), or a voluntary retirement by the player (can't return to NBA for 1 year)

Someone on Pels talk mentioned a swap for Heyward. Might make sense if Boston loses Irving.

Wish the NFL would do this. Would make the trades a lot more interesting.

I mean everybody saw this coming right? You just have to watch the games. Any eye test can tell you that.

Yeah, the only contracts that are comparable to Paul’s are Wiggins and Wall (actually worse), now that Noah is bought out and on the back end of that.

I actually forgot about that horrendous John Wall contract until you reminded me. His body is already breaking down yet he's under contract for three more years AND has a player option for $47 million!

Bomani Jones just Tweeted this

fwiw, this is the second time a star teammate wanted to get away from harden, but it was dwight and y’all don’t like him. also of note okc said they were good on him — they didn’t have to choose russ — and not for basketball reasons.

again, fwiw. but those things are true.

frick that. If fully guaranteed contracts become ubiquitous in the NFL the league is fricked.

It wasn’t the first or last time teams had problems with Howard and it’s Not the first time Chris Paul has had problems with teammates.

I am sure Presti is patting himself on the back today saying to himself “see that’s why I traded harden”

Give me a fricking break

Seems to never end well when you hear things like “they kind of have to give him the max, right?”

To be fair, this one has turned into a disaster much sooner than expected.
