if they want to make a political statement that's their business. if they are willing to forgo their salaries then that should be more than enough for you or anyone else.

Its an empty threat, that's the point.

Everyone knows its just for show. No one is gonna turn down 21.5mil, I don't care who you are.

Irrelevant.
Seriously?

He's threatening to sit out because of Donald Sterling's most recent racist comments. If he had done any research into his new team and owner, he would have known that Sterling was already outed as a racist.

ETA: Whelp. Irrelevant comment has already been addressed.

Not angry at all. I find it funny. I like when people talk a big game but everyone knows they don't intend to follow through.

We'll deal with that when it happens. In the meantime, I will laugh at the hot air.

Anyone willing to take bets that he sits out?

If I'm wrong, I'll buy you a beer.

He's not gonna sit out, my news feed is full of african american classmates laughing at CP3 and Doc for saying this shite like they're really gonna do it.

Not a yes. How about a friendly self-ban bet? I say there's no chance in hell he sits out.

I'll take that bet, conditional on Sterling still being the owner when the first clippers game tips off.

How long do want to self ban? A week?

they are hypocrites at worst or intellectually dishonest at best

they can't have it both ways.

Good to see Drac living in fantasy land as usual. No one is going to sit because of this.

Bet: If Donald Sterling is still the owner for the Clippers first game, I say Paul backs down from his threat to sit out because of Donald Sterling's ownership.

Week works for me.

this is like the new lib-prog meme of "i don't know why you people are so interested in the policy of [insert other location that is typically more lib-prog]". it's just a dismissal of discussion for no rational reason.
