This should be moved to the political talk board.
Regardless of your beliefs, its sad the political landscape is sculpting the sports world.
Can't the just play basketball/football/baseball/etc... And not open their mouths?

Gay marriage has nothing to do with religion

#2 What kind of a fricked up God would create homosexuality then turn around and say oh but you're not allowed to act on it because I have declared it an abomination?
there are a bunch of gods like that- the Muslims', Jew's, the Hindus have about 10 million of them

I'm a Christian. I believe in gay marriage, and I don't believe homosexuality is a sin

You can be a Christian and still believe in equal treatment under the law for homosexual couples as hetrosexual ones. There are dozens upon dozens of jesus quotes you could use to support that position rather than the 1 you use to oppose said equal treatment under the law.
All is said is I believe homosexuality is a choice. I also believe that heterosexuality is a choice. I don't think anyone should be killed for their beliefs unless it directly affects the safety of others (like any religious extremists).

Where did Christ talk about Homosexuality?. I'll wait.
Leviticus Chapter 18 verse 2: "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."
and there's the story of Sodom and Gomorrah.
I'm not bashing homosexuality, if that's your thing more power to ya. I just have to correct your inaccuracies.

This.
I am Christian, but I believe in equal treatment for all. Treatment shouldn't be based on religious views. Also, I tend to take the Bible less literal and more figuratively.
But again, I don't see anything wrong with what he did.

Why is it necessary for everyone to be pro-homosexuality or there is something wrong with you?

That's not Christ you shithead
ETA: The same guy who wrote that is the same one who said you can't mix two fabrics together and you can't eat steak

He's not wrong.
But the truth is not allowed in America any longer.

so now that there's a gay person in basketball will some shut the f*** up about trying to have out athletes?

If I came out gay, I would be praised a hero for those who are scared.( rewarded by the media)
But if said "I'm a Christian, who doesn't accept homosexuality and believe it to be a sin and a choice" I would be blasted.
are you being willfully ignorant?
you do realize the reason a person who comes out gets called brave b/c of the way gay people have been treated in this country in the past don't you?
it wasn't that long ago they would be sent to insane asylums to get ETC and be lobotomized.
its still very common for a person to be completely cut off by their friends and family if they they come out.
I actually know people that this has happened to.
I also don't want to hear about Christians being oppressed in the US b/c that is straight bullshite and I say this as a practicing Catholic.
and yea, you should be blasted for claiming being gay is a choice b/c its an asinine notion.
You either have a same sex attraction or you don't. It's not a choice. Its the same as some dudes are more turned on by blondes with big boobs while others love brunettes with a phat arse. You are either attracted or you aren't.

This. I don't know what the context but it just seems like something you wouldn't have any reason to bring up. Live and let live

Honestly who gives a shite? Why should I or anyone care who some dude fricks?
I can't imagine a scenario which would make me care at all. If it doesn't affect my life, why should it matter? Who gives a shite who Chris Broussard or anyone thinks about homosexuality? I just don't understand people get all outraged about this kind of shite.

very observant. If you're looking for a direct quote from Christ to support or denounce everything, you'll be waiting a while, and I'm not gonna play that game.

Well that's kinda the question you sought to resolve in the first place.
