I wouldn't take bosh over Dirk.
Dirk is not a post player at all.

And those 2 champions are probably the weakest in the past 25 years of basketball
Eh, that first Celtics team was pretty good.

I just don't think the amount he earns compared to his contribution will match
No player in the NBA should make as much as they do

Could have gotten Scola and Boozer instead and won as much if not more with those two
I agreed with a lot of your post up until this point. Boozer puts the ball on the floor way too much, he just turns the ball over too much. I like Scolas intensity, but Bosh owns him.

I still think rebounding and interior defense will doom this team this year and maybe into the next few seasons.
The Heat will not win the Championship next year. They need more depth.

Kobe will be a superstar as long as he plays.

I'm not a huge Kobe fan but this statement just seems crazy unless the next level of this odd superstar classification system is Legend.

Amare
After seeing Bosh play with Lebron & Wade and seeing Amare sans Nash your ranking of Amare over Bosh may change.

Correct. Or aging all-pro. Superstars should be the top players at close to the top of their game. In two years, theres no way Kobe could still be considered top 5 in the game.

Not so much in scoring but in toughness and rebounding. LeBron and Wade without Bosh could easliy score 25+ ppg each. With Bosh that scoring will dip to all 3 averaging about 20 to 22 ppg. What the Heat need is not more scoring but players to do other things besides such. The Heat could have had a team to rival the 90's Bulls but to do so needed what the Bulls had great interior defense and rebounding. Bosh can do alright in rebounding but his interior Defense is horrible. This team will get destroyed by the Lakers if the Lakers make it to the finals 100% healthy.
As for Heat depth, I think with Miller and Haslem they are close. Most teams would love to have those guys starting, and they may be coming off the bench.

Because $20 million a year to play a sport is ridiculous. If you disagree you disagree.

They are paid what they deserve considering the income they bring in for the owners.

not even close to a superstar......those guys not only have game but generally have some charisma or personality....Bosh only has some game but there are other players I would take first.

Link? NBA franchises are notorious for not bringing in huge profits. This is mainly because of the absurdly high contracts they pay the players.

I thought the discussion was on sports in general.

You can definitely make that argument.

Jordan was a superstar up until his last game.
Once you are a "superstar" that shite dont just go away.

Distinction.
Superstars can lead their team to the playoffs with a minimal supporting cast
All stars can not.
Bosh is an all star.

1) The team is not complete, so there's no way you can say this
2) It doesn't matter who they fill the rest of the roster with, they are not getting "destroyed" by anybody.
3) 0% chance the Lakers make it to the Finals 100% healthy anyway.
