Kansas City is trading its first-round pick Thursday night, along with three other picks in the 2021 and 2022 drafts, to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for Pro Bowl OT Orlando Brown and one pick in the 2021 draft and another in 2022, per sources.

I guess they re-realized the value of OTs in the Super Bowl.

Seems like a lot without a new deal in place, final year of current deal.

The plan for now is for Orlando Brown will play out the final year of his deal with the #Chiefs, source says. There's no extension as part of this deal right now.

Can’t believe one of our main AFC competitors traded us our biggest missing piece AND gave us a 2nd rounder this year

got to give credit to KC, they've had a loaded team for a few years now and every year they make legit moves to get better.

Baltimore needs to be all in right now because that team is going to struggle when they give Jackson his long term contract.

Brown refused to play RT. Not much of a choice for Baltimore when you have one of the best coming back next year there.

They didn’t want to trade him but he wasn’t going to play RT again and they already have a franchise LT that he’s not going to start over

This doesn’t seem like a very good deal for Baltimore. Even if they were certain they weren’t resigning Brown.

It all evens out to a 2nd round pick return if you do the draft pick chart value math

I don’t think I would’ve traded him to the team you need to beat in the playoffs regardless of return. I guess their offer must’ve been worlds better than the other offers out there

Oof-ish if they don’t get him signed. But picking where they were in the first, this is superior value at least this year. Only project linemen or a lucky hit players at that slot. They still have all the pieces needed to get to the Super Bowl again and now have new linemen.

Be curious now if they invest the draft capital they have left into the D which needs it.

2nd rounder

Snap. Is that confirmed? That’s really good value then.

Ravens were in a tough spot when it came to Brown. He wasn’t going to play RT anymore, so they were sort of forced to deal him and try to get something out of it rather than just not resigning him.

His market value is 5 yrs 96M per Spotrac or 19.2M/yr.

This works for this year and then they resign him or Fisher for after that.
