Great player and I watched him in high school too. Still needs to bulk up.

Chet Holmgren looked like the best BB player in High School I've seen in 20 years
You should watch more high school basketball then.

Holy revisionist history. Lebron played some of the top talent in the nation at the time.
He didn't play in the 50s.

Yeah in 5 of the 35 games of a season. He was in a Akron private school league. Let’s not act like he was in a Chicago or Dallas or LA public school with dozens of future Division 1 players scattered around the city.

So is your argument Lebron improved a ton after high school and he was a blossoming talent? Because he is the clear best player of the last 20 years
Who was a better high school player in the last 20 years?

this. if you're stacking D1 talent on your team, you can't complain when people say your competition is weak

This kid is good. Lebron was definitely better.

If you took current Patrick Mahomes, and let him go play 1a football in Mississippi, y’all would be arguing he isn’t the best high school player

Joe Girard is the most prolific scorer NY has ever seen

well yeah
kids get told that "if you can play, they'll find you", but that just isn't true. Some places do expose you better than others.

Looking like the best player in a League of the literal best players in the world is pretty different than looking like the best player in a weak high school division.

Way to be an obtuse a-hole. Just because LeBron has been one of the best NBA players of the last 20 years doesn’t mean he was the best high school basketball players of the last 20 years.

I mean Lebron is one of the most hyped high school players of all time. In a draft that featured 3 other future HOF guys, coming from college, Lebron was chosen number one. He was the unanimous #1 pick. Melo came off of a terrific college season leading Syracuse to the national title. Yet he was not chosen over LeBron.
There's a reason for that, no NBA scouts blamed him for the interior talent you're bringing up.
