I hope you're not implying that the physicality of the NBA is a concern. Perhaps the number of games will be, but all college players have to adapt to that aspect of the NBA.

Will get his shite pushed in, as usual when they play anyone with a pulse in the tourney.

Same goes for the NBA. He'll probably be a serviceable pro but Jabari Smith is hands down a higher level prospect at this point.

I think Smith is the safer pick even though Holmgren is balling out.

Absolutely, but Durant is the exception not the rule. It’s not only the physicality of playing against all bigger players but the wear and tear on the body of these big guys through 80 game seasons. Not a lot of them can take it that have the limited mass of Holmgren.

The one thing Holmgren has is a better killer instinct and want for the ball then Jabari does at this point. Jabari rarely if ever takes over games, but a lot of that s because he doesn’t have to.

Correct. But not every NBA draft pick is built like this kid.

My friends seriously laughed at me for saying he's not the #1 pick in the draft. He fricking should be. He is a beast.

So do you think he should be #1 or not. This statement is confusing.

And that was against a great loyola-marymount team

He’d have averaged 40 in that league

Holmgren will be very good in the NBA, but Jabari Smith is the perennial all-star who could be very very similar to Durant.

Chet is more like Durant than Jabari Smith is

Are we really freaking out that he’s killing the WCC? I know it was earlier in the year, and he’s matured and gotten better…but look at some of their big games.

In 5 games vs Texas Tech, UCLA, Duke, Texas, Bama…he’s averaging 9.4ppg, 7.8rpg. The one thing he did vs them is block 3.2 per game.

Dude has been making a decent BYU team look pathetic. Dominant since the tip. Few has given the keys over to Chet lately and they are better for it. Timme isn't getting all the touches.

Let's keep the Chet Holmgren is God in check until tournament time. Their schedule is an absolute joke.
Next they play Pacific, Saint Mary's, Pepperdine, Santa Clara, San Francisco, and Saint Mary's. The. Wash rinse repeat in their conference tournament.
How many of these white dudes from Gonzaga have we seen throughout years tear it up on talented Zags teams against piss poor competition only to flame out in the NBA?
I like how the majority of people on here hate and do not watch the NBA but think they know this kid is going to be great in the league. LOL.
I remember watching all those Duke teams from the late 80's and 90's. They were packed with talent and won a lot of games but very few had success in the NBA in that stretch.

The exact thing was said about Kevin Garnett when he went pro out of high school.

He had a similar build.
