Here are the stats of Boston College's Harold Landry III in 2016. He won neither the Bednarik, Nagurski or Butkus. He also didnt finish in the top 11 (there was a tie at 10) in Heisman voting.

Landry (a guy no one cared about in P5 conference)
Solo tack-34
Tot Tack-50
Sacks-16.5
PD-4
INT-1
FF-6

Young (a heisman finalist)
Solo tack-31
Tot Tack-44
Sacks-16.5
PD-3
INT-0
FF-6

so there you go.

Now do all the QBs that have better stats than Burrow.

There are no unheralded major college QBs with stats like Burrow's across the board.

So what you are saying is, players on better teams get more media hype than players on terrible teams?

Meh, doesn't matter. One had a truly dominating year this year and one didn't.

And if the one that didn't wasn't at Ohio State, he wouldn't even be in the conversation.

Pretty simple. Not saying he isn't good but what did he do his last 3 games? How about the 2 he missed?

Im saying Chase Young being a Heisman finalist is hysterical

i'm actually fine with Chase Young being a part of the heisman ceremony and conversation. he's a monster and had a great season.

but he practically had 3 non-existent games where his team beat the shite out of their opponent without needing any of his help.

JK Dobbins was infinitely more valuable to that team than Young was.

Players like Landry being left out is the problem. Not the other way around.

Landry sacks against top 25 teams (3): 3
Young sacks against top 25 teams (4): 8.5

I dunno about that. People are comparing him to Suh and other defensive greats. To me it doesn't feel like Young has been as good as he was. shite I would even think a Devonta Smith type has had more of an impact this year than Young.

Oh yeah for sure, and Lamb. Just trying to think of high-impact playmakers.

And it's not even debatable.

You do realize there is 1 person in the history of college football who had a passer rating higher than Burrow, correct?

Also, only 3 from major conferences have ever thrown moreTDs. That number likely becomes 1 after the 1st CFP game, and that number likely becomes 0 if he plays a 2nd CFP game.

Wondering if this was a troll post?
