He doesn't have a ticket. The Brazil game isn't included in the season ticket package.

The team advertised 9 regular season home games. The fan purchased season tickets under those pretenses. Then after the fact, its announced that they're playing the Chiefs in Brazil, which would have otherwise been a Chargers home game. So now the fan gets one less home game than he was sold on....AND they lose the game that would have probably been the most valuable ticket on the Chargers home schedule this year.

It's amazing how a league as horribly run as the NFL is still as popular it is. They actively seek to frick over their own fans as often as possible

People love FOOTBALL, not the NFL.. but yea I agree with you

This is from the Chargers website:

Season Ticket Policy
quote:

(9) Refund Policy

All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges, except as specifically provided below shall be provided.

Game date and time are subject to change by the NFL under its policies or due to other actions or events beyond the NFL's control. No refund will be made if the holder of the ticket cannot attend. If the Chargers play the game elsewhere than the SoFi Stadium, or if it is cancelled and not rescheduled, the sole remedy shall be refund of the original ticket purchase price.

So the guy should have been offered a refund

nine true home games in 2025
perhaps the preseason is included in that number? The Chargers would certainly argue those are home games

Damn. I figured they would still include it.

Play some preseason games in other countries, but leave the regular season games where they belong in the United States

The NFL sees the NBA's and MLB's success globally (in terms of support) and wants to try to replicate it. However, the NFL has been around for over 100 years. Longer than the NBA and not THAT much shorter than the MLB. Yet, American football has never caught on globally during that time. Guess what Roger, it's not going to happen. And that is fine. Be happy with being the undisputed most popular sport in the US.

The 17th game will soon become an international game. Most teams have claimed sponsorship rights to other countries. The Saints will be playing a “home game” in Paris next year at Parc des Princes.

Will never catch on internationally with all the stoppages and commercials. Soccer is commercial free.

Do pre season home games count towards the 9?

NFL owners did not become billionaires from being nice guys.

Not saying you have to like it, but it's a fact.

I hope that guy gets his money back, such an a-hole thing to do to your season ticket holders.

.

Hopefully the soccer leagues over there are pissed at the NFL for trying to muscle into their territory and can be an ally in getting them thrown out. These international games are awful. Where does it end? Every team plays 1 a year?

I bet that’s the current goal but NO way that’s where it ends. These sports leagues never know when to say enough is enough.

Preseason & regular season tix come in a NFL team's season ticket package

Money doesn't come out until months after the full schedule is known

I guarantee if you look at his account... the money taken out will match the face value of all preseason + 8 regular season home games

That's how it was when I was a Saints STH

What’s far worse than the international games is only airing specific games on streaming services which require a subscription. Amazon Prime, YouTube, etc. It’s like we are going backwards as far as accessibility of NFL games.

Those soccer teams need the events at their stadiums…

Yep. Unfortunately I will have to pay for the “home game”, then purchase “another” ticket to actually go to the game in Paris. Such a racket.

If the tickets were priced “per game,” then a game with the Chiefs and being able to see Mahomes play would be the highest priced ticket on that schedule.

Most teams already do that tiered pricing.
