I still don't fricking get this trade.

Why are the Bobcats paying Larry Brown top dollar to be their coach if they're going to jettison good young players?

Why don't they just hire Tim Floyd for $800,000 a year and save money that way?

I really don't get this move from their perspective.

Yeah especially since the full season ticket holders are stuck at this point.

What a horrible pill for them to swallow.

As a Hornets fan I'm ecstatic. I might pull my offer to split season tickets off the table depending on how the rest of this offseason shakes out.

I think we might actually have a shot at doing damage this year! And I mean contending for a championship!

I can't state enough what a raw deal this is for the 5,000 or so die-hard Bobcats fans.

With the way they ended the season and after sticking with this rebuilding process for so long, to renew your season tickets after a promising run there and then be slapped with this?

I might just be getting arrested outside of team headquarters tomorrow morning.

This fills a mjor void in the Hornets offense and defense. It will give us a inside scorer which we didnt have last year. And it gives us a big shot blocking defender who moves around in the paint instead of staying in one spot. Ala DWest and TC(when injured, TCs defense was shite)

It rids us of a cancer as well. Tyson was a good guy but there was really no realistic way he was going to gel after all that went down.

Okafor is a really good guy and a team player. He'll fit right in. I think this helps the team chemistry immensely.

Looks like Shinn wants to win a championship now.

Hornets cut $1.3 million in salary, which with the luxury tax could actually be a $2.6 million saving. Shinn is still being Shinn, we just got lucky that we found a way to cut salary and get an upgrade at center at the same time.

The Bobcats get a contract like SFP said. Apparently the franchise is losing money big time and the owner wants to sell.

a. plans change and i believe this is the only true long term liability on their books

b. larry brown hates young guys, so he doesn't care
