It’s really weird how so many seem to to just assume LSU has played a tougher schedule than OSU.

Pre-Seaso and early season rankings are the problem.

Ohio State would have wins over #8, #8, #10, #14 and #20.

LSU would have #4, #9, #11, and #12.

5 to 4, Ohio State

OSU average: 12
LSU average: 9

By your logic, someone beating #23, #24, and #25 is more impressive than beating #2 and #3.

If I told you you could take LSU or Ohio St or Clemson and I'd give you $10billion if that team goes undefeated if you run it back again. You get the pick LSU or Ohio St's schedule, any person in their right mind would want their team to play Ohio St's schedule.

You would, you know you would. Not sure if you'll admit it, but everyone knows it.

Rankings in general are a problem. When the playoff committee decides that OSU is better than LSU based in the eye test, and then spends 3 weeks manipulating the rankings of all Big 10 and SEC teams until it proves their initial claim, there is a major issue.

Yep. There shouldn't be any rankings until at least a month in but it will never happen as they need the hype.

I remember when Nebraska was ranked and going to win the B1G West.

Take out the 20 and the average is 10.

Does that make it sound better?

9 is better than 10. I even had that typed up with Cincy removed. LSU still has better wins.

And Ohio State beat those teams by 20 points more on average.

God I can't wait for LSU to curb stomp UGA, Clemson, and then OSU.

And Ohio State didn't have as weak of a bottom schedule as LSU.

And has better stats. And metrics. And nearly every computer poll.

This is why Ohio State is #1.

And you think the only thing that could mean is how good Ohio State is.

You aren't the unbiased purveyor of facts that you think you're portraying yourself as.

It means that Ohio State earned the #1 spot. Nothing more, nothing less.

I don't even know what this means.

How? It's very clear.

It means you think you're above bias, but you aren't.

If I saw this right, LSU is the first team since the 80s to beat 4 top 10 teams in the same season. When we beat Georgia, we’ll be the first team since the 50s with 5 top 10 wins.

That deserves the 1 seed. Simple, clear, and no debate about it.

TH03, he doesn't even realize how the committee purposefully moved Big 10 and SEC teams around the rankings in order to provide him the talking points he's currently using.

Never said I wasn't. I've actually said the opposite. Everyone has bias.

I can at least articulate some sort of reasonable psuedo-objective reasoning for my positions though.

Because you're asking us to suspend multiple years of conference/program history and results to look at 2019 in a vacuum without a lot of common outside opponents.
