Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Texas and Notre Dame can make a case for having the largest football fan bases. Notre Dame has a massive subway fan base and the other four teams have a lot of living grads and are blue bloods.

According to the google machine Alabama has 200k living alumni.
In comparison, UW-Madison has 500K.
I think I saw PSU claims the most at around 700K.

SMU doesn't belong. The entire sports media narrative has been that SMU is in regardless bc committee won't punish a conference title loss. When literally last year UGA was ranked #1, had every single first placed AP poll vote, lost to Bama by 3 measly points, and were punish to go down to #6 when it was clear that they were probably the best team in the country in 2023.
2019 UGA, USC, others have definitively been punished for a conference title loss. I said in another post, but the sports media had this sole opinion because they couldn't stand to see Bama get in again. When we all know Bama would easily handle SMU and there's just no doubt who would win in a game.
I guess that's why they don't have a real job because their opinion was wrong the whole time and I knew it.
