Yea he also said they’re willing to play anyone right after that.

I wish Rece or someone would have called him out right there.

Dat playoff committee best put some respeck on dem Cajuns T. 7-1 with a road win over their #13 and a 3 point loss to their #20..unranked. While 3-2 Iowa sits at #24 with wins over 1-3 Michigan State, 2-3 Minnesota and 0-5 Penn State.

Sorry what?

What if...

Florida runs the table and beats Alabama.
Clemson beats ND in the ACCCG.
Ohio State runs the table.

1) Ohio State
2) Clemson
3) Florida
4) Alabama

5) Notre Dame

???

Depends on how the game goes between UF and Bama.

While not likely at all, if UF blows out Bama, and Notre Dame loses in a close rematch with Clemson, Notre Dame probably gets in over Bama.

If UF wins a close one over Bama, and Notre Dame gets blown out, I think UF and Bama both get in.

You didn't make it past halftime, apparently.

Lawrence's absence at Notre Dame is overstated.

Eh, idk. I figure he’s probably good for another 7-10 points over the course of that game.

I’ve got a compelling argument—common sense, really—how Clemson just get absolutely zero “relief” for losing without Lawrence. I can better articulate it tomorrow, but basically you are who you are. They—and every other team in history—should be ranked 100% on what they actually DID, not on what you think they’d have done if the wind blew a certain way on a certain day. They can cover their asses now because Notre Dame is still ahead of them. But we all know if the Irish lose a game, Clemson will unfairly catapult them, because “Trevor was out.” Bull motherfricking shite. You are who you are, no matter who%’s out.

So Bama and ND are basically locks right now if everyone is saying ND can lose big to Clemson.

Bama is a lock even in the rare chance they lose a game.

Where are the mighty Louisiana Ragin Cajuns? Remember the ONLY ranked team from the state of Louisiana? Weird I don’t see them.

BYU is better than #14. But in the committee’s defense they have played a Sun Belt schedule

Strength of schedule
Ohio State -76
BYU - 81

Funny how SOS only seems to matter for the teams that don’t sound like they belong.

This is a good point. Etienne and DJ have had issues handing off the ball....resulting in two turnovers for TDs. Lawrence can stretch the field better than DJ can right now. It’s going to be a totally different game with Lawrence back.

If you play only in conference, you want win but not blow out teams. Oregon needs UW to get ranked. However, if UTAH looks bad playing them again, that hurts them. Indians looks legit because they played well. Best case scenario for Oregon is UW winning but Utah not looking hapless.

I am not sure if style points are the same.
