ND will have a win against Clemson and Clemson would have a win against ND.

Do they drop a 1-loss ND team out of the 4 team playoff?

But in BYU’s defense, their original schedule was much tougher until teams and conferences cancelled games.

That’s why I actually feel sorry for BYU. They appear to have a really good team for the first time I’m years, but circumstances beyond their control have relegated them to an afterthought.

I don’t think they are a playoff caliber team, but it would have been fun to watch them this year play their original schedule.

Notre Dame would still be in, unless Bama loses to Florida.

Then Notre Dame probably falls to #5 and Bama and Florida both get in.

For starters don’t lose 52-24 to the #1 team. Clemson went into double OT with the #2 team without their starting QB, two starting LBs, and starting defensive lineman.

A&M lost to that top-ranked team in a blowout. Clemson lost to the second-ranked team in OT (while missing the best player in the country and four starters on defense).

A&M beat that 6th-ranked team in a barnburner. Clemson beat the 9th-ranked team in a blowout.

Not that complicated to understand.

That’s code “because if we lose, we are definitely out of the CFP race. But if we stay undefeated by beating blind and handicapped schools, we deserve to be in the CFP”
