CFB Playoff Needs to Speak on Sorsby

The NCAA is useless but my understanding is that the NCAA does not own or operate the CFB playoff, that is its own entity.
The committee and the CFB playoff as an organization needs to state today that TT can play Sorsby all they want, but any win with Sorsby will not be recognized and they cannot be allowed into the playoff.
The playoff is an invitational, so a privilege. I don’t know how any judge can file an injunction to force them into it.
Grow some balls and fight back against the clown world.

In theory, makes sense... but guarantee the judge would rule that is discrimination since Sorsby played the "gambling is a medical condition" card as his excuse for doing so.
Whole situation is f'd

CFP committee could simply not rank Texas Tech in the top 12 right? Only way they guarantee a spot is if they win the Big 12?

How is there any legal mechanism that a local judge can force a whole team or program into a national invitation only playoff due to “discrimination” ?
At that point, every school could claim racism and get local judges in every jurisdiction to get them in playoff.

why isn't the Big 12 stepping in to slap Texas Tech? How is this fair to the other conference members?

How is this Texas Tech's fault?

the Big 12 can't punish the kid?

It Texas Tech plays him then they should get hit with Lack of Institutional Control and get a post season ban.
Tell them, "You can play him but none of the game will count as wins and you won't be eligible for the post season if he plays 1 snap."

I mean....they kept FSU out of the playoffs one year due to their QB having a broke leg, which technically is a medical condition. So there is precedent

What happens when they win the conference and get the automatic bid?
Posted on 6/8/26 at 8:22 pm to Underwood
No auto-bid if the committee just doesn’t rank TTU and ranks 2 G5 champs ahead of TTU

So this is what you want the sport to become - if enough people simply don’t like a school they can come up with ways to purposely conspire against them? You guys are nuts,

"gambling is a medical condition"
That means he cannot play. Not a, play on man card.

You’re acting like its a situation with people not liking a school simply because they win all the time or their coach is an a-hole. This situation is probably the most united that college sports fans, coaches, and AD’s have been on an issue that I can remember. Its literally the entire college sports world on one side and Texas Tech alone on the other side.

No chance, Sankey won't allow it

He stopped betting 2 years ago? Is that why he is going to rehab now? Because he quit? LOL

Post season bans include Conference Championship games. They wouldn't even be allowed to play for the automatic bid.

You can find/buy a judge to rule anything.
They have no special moral authority. They are just lawyers who conned their way into a judgeship.
