A&M vs OSU in the Cotton bowl will be lit. If Aggie beats the Canes.

Good ole three pump chump Alabama in the bracket as a 9 seed.

What a laugh.

Imagine losing to a 5-7 by 14, losing your final game by 21, losing 3 games total...and STILL making the playoffs

Only Bama could get blown out by an unranked 5-7 team and still get a bid.

Losses are just one part of the equation.

Bama is in because Conference Championship games make money and losing that and not making the playoff would cause conferences to reevaluate having them. Yes you could say but what about BYU. Fact is nobody gives a shite about them

That dude is a flopper; Indiana got a hold call because of his flop arse. Glad that was a no call because he was obviously doing some acting.

Alabama never should have gotten in. I don’t hate the ND snub. I would have swapped Georgia and Ohio State in seeding. I would have shuffled the middle seeds a little to remove the rematches in the first round.

Does Bob Chesney know he killed his coaching career by going to UCLA?

Why UCLA? He's never coached away from the east coast

I have said that all along. Bama being out would expedite the end of the SEC Championship Game.

And it is not an apples to apples comparison between this scenario and 2023 when UGA was knocked out or 2017 when Auburn was knocked out. Those were 4-team playoff fields WITHOUT auto-bids. It’s not the same thing at all no matter how many pundits want to argue it.

I also have to wonder whether the fact that Bama has already beaten UGA while BYU was stomped once already by Tech came into play in the committee’s decision.

So... Ole Miss gets a rematch, and if they win they get another rematch.

Conference Championship games are becoming increasingly irrelevant. Case in point:

Ohio State wins it all last year without being Conference Champ
Bama gets in this year despite shitting the bed in the CC
Miami not good enough to get into their CC, but gets in.

Just a money grab. Same path as NCAA Basketball Conference tournaments.

Right during NFL games too.

Packers @ Bears is on FOX at the exact same time as JMU/Oregon

Are college basketball conference tournaments irrelevant? Fans still love to watch their teams in those.

Turning college football into a national title or bust sport would be awful. Conference titles still mean something.

Y’all get mad now but ignored ND’s ridiculous ranking the last month.

I disagree ND shouldn’t have been ranked there, but because they were, the committee has no excuse to move them how they did.

I fail to see how even if they were “podded” together the difference was so big between ND and Miami but put them H2H it’s a “tie in resume.”

Ironically ND would probably be in if they'd joined the ACC for football.
