Michigan State (3-6) v. Penn State (3-6)

How the mighty CBS 2:30 (Central) time slot has fallen to an afterthought. This game should be on an alternate BTN channel.

It should be Iowa @ USC but for some reason it was relegated to BTN. I think both might have hit their Max games for CBS though...

I don’t think I’ve watched a 2:30 cbs game all year and they passed on the SEC to pay a billion dollars to the BIG

Tough scene

You must've got a lot of stuff done, having 5 hours open up for you like that.

When you have a conference with 38 team and only 3-4 are worth a crap bound to have some stinkers

#21 Iowa is leading #17 USC 21 to 19 late in the 3rd.

This has been a very entertaining Top 25 matchup. I can’t believe this game was relegated to the Big !0 Network only and not featured on CBS……

I randomly made the same topic. It’s pretty crazy how shitty their lineup of games is under the B10.

Google says it has to do with a contractual requirement that every team have 2 games on BTN, at least one being a conference matchup. Apparently Iowa vs USC had to be on BTN to satisfy that requirement

You tards realize that TV networks are concerned with the size of the market not which conference wins the most “‘chips” ?

I don’t know what ability they to flex in/out but they probably picked the match ups before the season and Penn St was ranked high in the preseason

Because its a watered down league. They have 18 teams and only 4-5 are worth a shite any given year.

They were in such a hurry to expand and grab new TV markets a decade ago. Now they’re stuck with irrelevant trash programs like Rutgers and Maryland that end up creating a watered down conference schedule and lack of games that attract national audience interest.

No they care about ratings

TV market doesnt mean shite if the people in that market arent watching your channel

CBS doesn’t get first choice with B1G games. With the SEC contract, they did.

CBS knew that their contract means they get the 3rd choice most weekends. They chose that contract. Most weeks it is Fox, NBC and CBS, but some some weeks it is CBS 2nd and NBC first.

CBS is not at fault. They knew what they were getting. I still think that the BigTen getting their 3 best games on Over the Air TV for free for fans was the best option. The SEC and Big Ten need to think of themselves as the AFC and NFC and get contracts with Fox, ABC, NBC, and CBS that works for everyone. There is still too much money left on the table with the current contracts.
