they were certainly favorites going into the series and everyone knew Love was out and Smith would miss 2 games. They were underdogs after losing game 1 and then favorites again after game 2.

Basically my point.

It's not "astounding" that the Cavs are going to win this series. It's expected.

And no one should be surprised they dropped game 1 at home. LeBron and the Heat lost games 1 or 2 at home in the playoffs a lot and would come back to win the series.

I was being facetious when I used the word astounding.

The point I was getting at was you can't really say "Bulls are lucky to be in this series with Pau missing 2 games and Noah being banged up"

When the Cavs are missing Kevin Love and JR Smith for 2 games and Kyrie and Shumpert are banged up.

The Bulls are a good team. The Cavs are a good team when healthy. With Love and Kyrie at 100% they were playing at a ridiculously high level to where a championship was realistic. As is now, they'll probably win the east but need a lot of help in the finals

if cavs draw warriors the cavs will win in 6. If cavs draw clips, it will be tough... if cavs draw memphis, they have no chance

Put Larry Bird on the Grizzleys. Lebron would still win.

You can't count out the Cavs because they have Lebron, but I really have a hard time seeing them beating any of the WC teams

Put Larry, Magic Johnson, and 4 Laimbeers and LeBron is bringing a broom.

dunno... Gasol and Randolph are a formidable front court.... would pose a nightmare for CLE to defend.... CLE's guard play would be much better than the Grizz, especially if Conley is still out, but those bigs would do work vs. CLE...

I agree the only team they have a chance with is the warriors bc they play small like Cleveland is being forced to do now without K Love.

That's why I think they can make it out the east if they face Atlanta or the Wiz Kids. As long as they don't have to deal with any teams with 2 solid bigs they will have a chance.

I honestly don't think they will win it this year though. And honestly, I want Lebron to make it to the finals but knowing he has a good chance of losing.. Idk how people would feel if he goes to the finals and loses and drops down to 2-4 in NBA Finals.

It's weird saying that. People will hate on him bc he goes to the finals and looses. If he was to lose in the 2nd round though it wouldn't be nearly as bad, from a legacy stand point. Seems odd.

LeBron would send ZBo's shite to see Giancarlo's HR ball in Dodger Stadium.

I think you guys are high thinking cavs best shot is GS. They play small but at an insanely better degree than Cleveland. Their best shot is the clips and hacking DJ/taking advantage of a dreadful bench. I'm assuming Memphis/Houston won't make it so not really factoring them in

And start all 6 of them, Lebron still wins.

If the Cavs can get healthy, I believe they'd have a perfectly good chance to beat whoever comes out of the West. I really do.

LeBron could cover Thompson for a period, and even Curry for a little bit. Mozgov would be able to control the post with Tristan Thompson.

With a healthy Kyrie on Curry most of the time and JR Smith on Thompson, et al they would have a pretty solid chance.

Love would be perfect for a game against the Warriors and Kyrie would need to be healthy.

If I were the Cavs, I wouldn't want to play Z Bo, Conley, Gasol, and especially Tony Allen.

Rivers is down. Lebron would for sure destroy the Clips now.

I mean the Cavs offense has looked dreadful at stretches. Maybe it's due to the bulls being a great defensive team. But it seems like it's because they lack spacing at times without Love on the court, clogs up lanes for Lebron and ends up with a possession with no ball movement and an isolated Lebron fadeaway. They can get by with that against inferior teams like Chicago, who also have a terrible time on offense, but those empty possessions will be even more costly against offensive juggernauts like GS and LAC

Kyrie on Curry

this is stupid.... Kyrie has a bad wheel and you want to put him on Curry?

i'd have Shumpert, the best defending guard outside of Tony Allen in the Association, on Curry all day every day....

You're right. Sports fans can be ridiculously irrational and dumb though. It doesn't make sense, but many people see it as a "fault" that Lebron is 2-3 in finals. As if it would've been better to lose earlier and maintain a perfect finals record. It's silly to even judge a player strictly off of how a team performs, but slowly were starting to realize that for the most part.

In theory that's good. But can't put Kyrie on Klay either, so Lebron on Klay? Then Kyrie on Barnes. Not sure I like those matchups either
