Blatt getting canned isn't that surprising... Lue becoming the HC, with no prior HC experience on his resume, AND signing a multi year deal in the process, that's surprising...

LeBron better hope this one works out because it has his name all over it, and it's only his time that he's wasting in the process

While Rick has a point, I wonder if he's also embarrassed when someone like Byron Scott keeps getting jobs again and again.

I hate to be the one to say it but, I live about 30 miles south of cleveland and it seems to me Lebron wanted a black coach. I think Lebron/his handlers are big time racist. It also explains why he does not get along with K Love at all.

Jesus Christ, I cannot believe simpletons like you lend credence to poppycock such as this.

no, he doesn't get along with K Love because K Love is a streaky as frick shooter and doesn't play a lick of defense, all while being a "power" forward....

hell, i'm white as paper, and if K Love was on my team, I'D hate him....

Nope. It can't be that LeBron didn't really like Blatt--which is enough to criticize on its own--it must be racism.

On a seperate note. I've found my friend's (a big Blatt fan) random experience with Blatt, cool but odd.

It was a little over an hour and a half (1:20 AM) after Game 3 of the ECF, a game that went to OT. My friend texts me and says that he just spoke with Blatt at the bar, which was about a 10 minutes away (he sent a picture the next day).

He must have left right after the press conferences for the bar. Again it was cool, but still, I figured a head coach would be obsessively planning for that decisive series victory. Maybe he prefers to unwind, but I still figure coaching would be on the forefront.

Blatt kinda came out of nowhere into the biggest coaching job in the league. Bad spot. Should have gone the Ettore Messina route with the Spurs or someone first.

That said, the way the Cleveland players and ultimately the front office treated Blatt after he got there is beyond reprehensible no matter how you slice it. Just incompetent all around.

Yeah people like that who scream racism at every turn (black, white, or otherwise) make me ill. Obfuscates actual racist happenings that need to be addressed.

Nope. Not surprised at all

They still look more on the level of competence like the Patriots or Spurs when compared to the Browns.

This is true.

The Browns have gone out of their way to set the bar so very low over the years, though

A fellow Aggie had a hand in the latest foibles, of course. Sorry about that

Wasn't he hired before Lebron told SI he was going back to Cleveland?

It would have been one thing if there wasn't evidence that his off the field behavior could make him a risk, but there was enough there to know.

In fact, maybe the Aggies did a good showing both the risk and reward. Unfortunately, the organization needs to have self-awareness and realize that the Browns tend to bring out the worst, especially in QBs.

Yeah, it was always going to end in disaster the way things were set up.

I would like to see the Wolves hire Blatt, have him coach Wiggins and KAT. Flip Saunders wanted to make him the coach in waiting before Cleveland hired him.

Lue have some amazing plan that stops Steoh Curry from being the greatest shooter of all time, because otherwise this seems dumb as hell.
