How else are you going to obtain interest in your school without putting yourself out there to non feeder schools.
i guess we should all do that if that’s the case…

100%

Do it. Like I said, this is the reason for the split. LHSAA is a clown show.

Many and Winnfield would probably do it too, but their district has more cows and horses than athletes

This is totally false. Fertitta basically put out a recruiting manual to his assistant coaches and assigned them to BREC teams, middle school teams, Catholic school teams and various little league teams. It was more widespread than you think. Then they got into it with a former ninth grade coach that was at another school. Both schools went to the LHSAA about each other. There were plenty of emails, text, pictures, etc on Catholic. Dutchtown coach had nothing to do with reporting it

I fail to see the problem ? Just where do you think they would get students and players ?

I don’t see any problem with that.

I guarantee no one ever said this to Arch… it was understood before he was ever conceived that he’d be at Newman

Does recruiting your uncles to play there taint you as well?? LOL

Maybe they will be grouped with De La Salle and we will have at least some competition for district, cause our district now is a joke.

I think he graduated in 2019. He was 9 on the defense after Moffit graduated. He left Prairieville Middle after 7th grade and went to one of the CSAL schools (maybe St. Theresa).

that per se is not illegal... read the LHSAA handbook or talk to a local coach in the know.

Does CHS have to take back all the rings they gave out at ring night?

So he graduated from a catholic feeder school... Clearly Catholic systematically targeted kids to speak to and convince to come based on athletic ability, we can argue the morality of that all day, but my god how stupid.

I mean do you want take eligibility from any kid who ever went to public school?

Says the guy posting a thread about Catholic football.

I’m an alum, I think I can give an opinion without the emotional investment that those in this thread have expressed for enjoying the sanctions being handed down.

If you’re over the age 21 and still give a shite about a high school you didn’t go to, I feel sorry for you, as you are the reason for the decline of Western Civilization.

All the Ascension coaches hate having to vote for all district teams with CHS in the room
Been like that for awhile now
The amount of address manipulation in Ascension is out of control especially at Dutchtown

It’s a well known practice that if a HS sees a potential star that goes to a public school, they would get them enrolled at a Catholic feeder school for 7th or 8th grade, in order for them to gain first year eligibility to play when they get to HS.

Same thing goes on at the other private non-Catholic schools.

Take a look at how some schools 7th & 8th grade class “all of a sudden” get a influx of talent….

Worked for U-High……..

They still wont be eligible the first year.

I went to St. Aloysius from K-8 and still was not eligible at Catholic as a freshman

Going to a Catholic feeder school does not make you eligible when going to Catholic. Eligibility is based on the "home-attendance zone rule." Catholic shares a home attendance zone with Mckinley. The only way CHS gets around the rule is by taking athletes to its 8th grade class. Works for U-High because they are on the same physical site as the high school.
Again, good try.
