Yeah but did he play hard? Did he display good sportsmanship? If so, he’s still a winner.

Let's have this discussion when he isn't the only shot creator and playmaker on his team. Then I think we can a better read on who he is as a player.

He’s definitely a 2 guard. Are his handles really that bad? fricking awkward and his drive to the basket is slow as frick.
He shot is slow getting off as well.
Is Rubio really their PG? Cuz damn.

Y'all were ready to anoint him last year, I remember Lester telling you all NOT SO FAST.

He played his best ball when Rubio was out and he was slotted more as a 1 this year. When the Jazz find a another natural SG they will slide Spida Mitchell over to the 1 for good.

He is very streaky. When he is on he is hard to stop. That being said, if he was on the Pelicans with AD and J Holiday they would contend for the West. He needs some talent around them. Jazz have a bunch of stiffs.

I’d love for the Pels to kick the tires to try to pry Mitchell out of Utah. That dude is dirty, just needs somebody better then Rubio next to him.

They aren’t trading him he’s a star already at 22. Not like lilliard or Westbrook etc don’t have bad games like this

He averaged 24ppg with 33 minutes on the season. In his second year. As the only scoring threat that can get his own shot on the team.

I give him a pass because he's so young and has so much to learn. I think he's going to be special in a few more years.

They need another ball handler who is an offensive threat, Jrue had that issue for a few years as well in New Orleans.
Rondo/Payton alleviated some of those issues, but all Mitchell needs is an average PG that can shoot.. He doesn't need an elite guy.

He’ll get a pass because he’s young, but he played an awful game and if it were Westbrook he’d get torn to shreds.
If he has this game 5 years from now he’ll get a lot more crap for it.

Mitchell’s shot is lightyears ahead of Westbrook, just had a bad game. He’s only a second year guy too

But he didn’t improve a ton from year 1 to year 2. His percentages are nearly the same across the board.
He’s obviously very good. He needs to make a bigger jump in year 3.

This really is the key to super stardom in this league. The truly elite players make noticeable additions to their games each offseason. Harden has always added a very clear move each summer, except for the clusterfrick offseason that involved a high ankle sprain, and, more detrimentally, a Kardashian.
