Yes because Calipari should be the one taking shots on recruiting. What's next, Pitino coming out talking about Coach K?

Sheesh, that dude is such a douche. Definitely sounds butthurt about Zion.

Good Lord, that is a straight up lie.
If there is one state and one fanbase in America that will take of you for the rest of America, it is Kentucky basketball.

I actually think Cal is actually a pretty honest guy that would be cool to have a beer with when talking to recruits and others, and coach k is the slimeball a-hole.
I truly think everyone has them backwards in their minds

UK fans really don't like to lose, and they're out of the top 25 right now. No wonder Cal's in a foul mood.

Well Duke alumns do take care of their own and many are very high up in large corporations. K’s pitch is sound.

Cal has such a complex about Coach K. He can't even go through a sideline interview in a game against Duke without trying to negatively recruit. And he gets his buddy to write hit pieces that are so transparent that even rival fanbases that hate Duke laugh about it.
The reality is Cal's program was always contingent on guys getting 1 and Done and actually leaving after one year and getting drafted in the first ruond. It went even better than expected his first year. 2012 was clearly the peak, but then, guys started sticking around because they weren't as good as the hype (i.e. the Harrison twins), and guys started backing away from the program because of playing time issues.
That's what happens when you have 8-9 freshman coming in. The last two classes (2017 and 2018), I think he's laded just one top 10 guy (Knox). The current class isn't looking too hot, and with a fairly deep draft, I think many will be back next year, and I think there is a more than decent chance that he ends up with just 3 recruits this year (Keldon, Quickley, and Tyler Herro).
I expect Knox to be a top 10 pick, Diallo to be a late first rounder, and probably Gilgeous-Alexander to go pro as well. But the rest are either going to be back next year (and maybe in 2019) or they will be second rounders). At this point, Cal is trying the one and done model not with top 5 kids as much as he is top 10-30 kids, and that's not nearly as easy.

Calipari is awful. it's a wonder UK fans put up with him. He won't win another Natty at UK. He's lucky to have the one at UK that he has. His model of a program sucks and he's a slime ball.
They go through a weak SEC usually, then get beat anywhere from 2nd Rd to Elite 8 most yrs

The number of lacrosse, soccer, and baseball players with history degrees having Wall Street jobs says a lot

You know for all the hype and promotion that surrounds Cal and his iteration of the UK basketball program, the school only has 1 natty to show for it during his tenure and that natty was won by arguably one of the greatest single-season college basketball teams of all-time. During that same stretch, Coach K and Duke have won 2 and the school has obviously produced their fair share of NBA lottery picks and now have secured a generational talent for 2019 in Zion. When you're an all-timer like K and rep a school as prestigious as Duke, pretty much your only responsibility is staying out of your own way and they will come.

I am pretty sure that Cal is a slimeball, but less so than many others. I don't doubt for a second that what he tells the kids is straight up. Might be straight up about their new car or duffel of cash, or don't worry about playing school while you're here.... but honest none the less.

Interesting...A Natty...another Championship Game...4 Final Fours...and 6 trips to the Elite 8 while at Kentucky. Seems you’re way off on your take.

Yea, some of the hate for Cal is strong. But to question what is doing is laughable.
Kentucky and Cal will be fine. He is pissed and changes to the staff are coming (say goodbye to Barbee and getting Orlando back on staff).
It will be interesting to see how K is going to adapt the amount of players that will go pro after the season and has 3 studs playing the same position. Gotta give Duke credit, the best thing happened to them was getting Capel back on staff.
Watch for Kentucky pulling Wiseman out of Memphis this year or next and don’t be shocked if a certain former NBA Star player is on staff in Lexington

Rod Strickland? Cal definitely likes him and if he is sober, that would be a big hire.

Who are you referring to? I think all of the guys coming in next year play different positions. Just like this year, so they fit in much better than last year's team. Reddish is a 3, Zion is a 4 although a bit short, but the team has height all around him, and Barrett was playing 2 for Canada in the U-18s.

No on Strickland. Maybe Penny Hardaway or Jaylen Rose.
