So were the Saints before Brees. Sometimes all it takes is that one great player/person to light a spark and take the franchise to the next level. Maybe Burrow will be that spark. Definitely has the skills to potentially be a star

Can't imagine Bengals pass on local boy turned heisman winner and generational talent. I'll be happy as long as he goes to AFC. I can see adding some Bengals stuff to my Tiger memorabilia.

Bengals need to build their line. They have weapons on offense for sure.

Without new ownership, he is doomed to losing in Cincinnati

I hope Cincy gives him the Carson Palmer treatment and doesn't throw him to the wolves as a rookie, but we will see.

Burrow to Green is an exciting prospect

Green is perpetually injured, so I wouldn’t bet on seeing Burrow to Green much.

More happened than just Brees showing up, so you can’t really say draft Joe and bam everything gets fixed.

Payton is one of the best coaches in the league. He has consistently kept their offense relevant and in the top portion of the league through a lot of personnel turnover and even when Drew has been out.

Mickey Loomis also represented a sea change in how professional the FO was being run. The Saints suddenly weren’t being run like someone’s pet hobby. Also the Bensons decided to spend cash. The Saints have become experts at playing salary cap pyramid scheme because the ownership is willing to pay for the bonuses.

Basically none of that is going to be the case in Cinci.

how’d you like to be a dolphins fan right now?

1) the qb they gave up on is in the afc championship game
2) after tanking beautifully for 15 weeks, they blow it at the end. All they had to do was lose the last 2, hire Brady as OC, and draft burrow. They’d be the talk of the league and big dick joe would be looking for a condo in south beach

They also added Payton and Bush that year

They are fine. They can trade if they want, take Tua if they want, and their roster is bad enough to compete for TL next year if they want.

I don’t think their ultimate goals was always get the #1 pick, but just to build a ton of draft capital to have options. Now they have to hit on those picks, but part 1 was a success.

The Steelers and Jets are probably in a worse place overall.

I feel like Green may stick around to catch from Joe Burrow.

I find it hard to believe that so many people think Burrow is going to make that much difference right away on that crappy team.
Dalton is not the problem there.

The OLine and Defense are their biggest issues. What is crazy is think that Green is going to stick around without a tag or long term deal just to catch passes from Joe. I love Joe and think he’ll be good, but the NFL is a damn business.

in reality you really shouldn't find it so hard to believe taking into account the site we're on. If you were to go to a steelers, browns, or ravens message board then they would laugh at the notion that cincy is going to be anywhere near competitive with a rookie QB.

Next year is going to be such a clusterfrick on this board. There's going to be a thread hailing him as the goat for every touchdown and a thread claiming he's a bust for every interception. Couple that with Tua being in the same draft class and we've got Henry vs Fournette to the 10th power i'm afraid

Would be cool if the Bengals could somehow get Jefferson in the 2nd/3rd round to pair with Burrow. I'm curious what Burrow's stats will look like in his rookie season. I think he'll make the O-Line 'look' better and just needs a few weapons.

This is why I don't understand why LSU fans are happy about Burrow to Cincy. The Bengals have big problems he can't change, and he'll have a meh WR corps and a bad O line.

It's a bad, bad team.

Let's not forget that they took the first lineman off the board last year. If you watched "the art of coaching" when Belichik was in tuscaloosa for pro day, he asked Saban point blank "who's the best player out here"

Jonah Williams was the first player out of his mouth, and then a few seconds later he included Quinnen Williams. His injury was a torn labrum, something he never had an issue with in college, so he should fully recover from that. There's a potential franchise left tackle in Cincy, so that's huge

The Steelers have a very good D with 3 first and second year players that were all rookie or all pro and a potential DPOY in TJ Watt.

I'm a Steeler fan, but I don't see the bad situation. They need Ben back, and Rudoph/Hodges aren't the answer. The D is in a good spot and Juju, Johnson and Conner are good options at skill position. The O line is fine.

Brown isn't just all of a sudden have a desire to invest in his team.
