Probably for legal purposes they had to mention California State University, Fresno (the official name for what everyone knows as Fresno State).

Exactly, you ever hear anyone refer to LSU by that name? Do you think if there was a press release announcing LSU was changing conferences, they would refer to LSU as LSU A&M Baton Rouge?

MWC should grab Houston. Solid program with a good record over the past few years. They'd improve the numbers for the autobid formula and help them move toward 12 members so they can make money off a championship game.

I attended Fresno State for one year. They have some merchandise with the Cal State Fresno name on it. Did not like the school but they had a insane game against Oregon that involved players throwing batteries at Oregon players.
