Having Ohio State in the mix would remove any asterisk to the season perceived or otherwise in my mind.

By what metric? The SEC is better than the BIG in football. The ACC is better than the PAC-12 in football. The big 12 may not be sunbelt level but they have Oklahoma and Texas

"I think that was picked up a little out of context," Carter said. "All I said is there's work going on and remain cautiously optimistic, like everybody else, that we'll get to discovering when it's safe to play."

We'll see.

except definitely

you're top heavy with OSU and occasionally Penn State, but that's always short lived anyways

lets not forget the always over hyped Badgers

the only other team you got into the CFP got blanked 38-0

Somewhat.

The “asterisk” isn’t solely because the Big10 was sitting out. It’s also due to the shortened season, few Non-conf games, player opt-outs, potential for players missing games due to Covid, and limited/no fans at games.

In other words, the theoretical “asterisk” was bigger than just Ohio State not playing.

Does the Big10 playing add more legitimacy to the overall season?... Sure, but it’s still going to be a weird season, with or without the Big10. And the overall abnormalness is why some people are saying the season will have an asterisk.

Obviously this is all just fan talk anyway...there’s not going to be any actual asterisk in the record books. It’ll just be fans looking back at the 2020 season as the weird “Covid season.”

Wanna know why Clemson and Ohio State, year after year, are considered locks for the CFP?

Better question who’s worse: Arkansas and Vandy or Rutgers and Northwestern

You're right, a 2 point win 10 years ago proves that the Big Ten is better than the SEC

After all the shite over the past month, I won't fully believe it till it's announced.

Friend of mine is a member of the Lincoln press and covers all things Huskers. In a group chat a bit ago, he said he was 95% sure it wasn't a slip of the tongue. Ted Carter knows the mics are on anytime he is near the podium.

Could be a chance Ted forgot, but he has been fed up with Warren/other B1G leaders and may be giving

think as long as they play all games before committee vote it shouldn't matter

And the CFP has said they will give them another week for a CCG

It proves LSU is 0-forever against Penn State.
