Goff>brees

Goff w/o his go to guy, and his rb still not 100%. And he out played Brees.

That 2008 season was an anomaly as they returned just about every player from a perfect 16-0 the previous year - sans Brady of course. That was also the last time the Patriots didn't make the playoffs.
They went 11-5 without him that year and 3-1 when he was suspended. I don't care about pre-Patriots. He grew. 14-6 without Brady shows it's mostly Bellichik.

A 5-game W/L difference in the NFL is fricking huge.

Why? Brees 8-7 with 1 Super Bowl and 1 NFC Championship. That ain’t GOAT status.

It was the next year, all bets are off. It was 11-5 with Matt frickin Cassell. I'm not saying Brady isn't great but I am saying he's not the greatest. In fact, one can't really know the greatest, especially with the rules changes that make it exceedingly easy to pass today compared to 25 years ago.

He and Montana are the 2 best I’ve seen. They seem to have something extra. Some guys have the stats but they aren’t out there throwing 3rd and long darts in 15 degree windy weather at 41 years old with legacy on the line. I don’t care how good BB is, no one can coach that.

QBing the exact same team that went 16-0 the year before. If you go 16-0 in the NFL you are obviously a very talented team. It's a testament to how good Brady is considering they lost 5 games and failed to make the playoffs after Brady went down with an ACL injury.

If Brady plays all of 2008 they are likely 15-1 or 14-2 and back in the Super Bowl.

Good Lord, you don't know that. The year Brady came back they went 10-6.

As big a Saints fan I am, after today, you would be retarded to argue Brees>Brady. It is what it is.

Brady > Brees
Playoff Brees is better than playoff Brady. No question about it, though today isn't the best day to say that.

Brees is better individually across the board. And the Saints offense in Brees's postseason career score more and turn it over less than Brady.

Difference is, defense. That makes the Pats postseason teams wayyyyyyyyyy better than the Saints. But j that difference in success does not mean Brady is better than Brees in the postseason, there is nothing to back that up. Any argument would default to team success, which I already pointed out is because of defense, factually speaking.

I get why people are pissed about the no call on the PI and I would be as well even though there were obvious missed calls on both sides

That being said, Brees did not play well coming down the stretch. He made some very questionable passes and was pretty lucky he got away with a few of them
