Saints were better than Patriots in 2011, 2017, and 2018. Pats have gone to SB two of those years - Saints have gone zero times.

He has an overall losing record when Brady isn't starting for him at QB. That 2008 season was an anomaly as they returned just about every player from a perfect 16-0 team the previous year - sans Brady of course. That was also the last time the Patriots didn't make the playoffs.
