He would be a fantastic hire but he just walked away from a premiere program to spend time with his family.
Going from Oklahoma to FSU is a hell of a step down these days, even for a former FSU coordinator coming home.

I’m confusing my coordinators from that timeframe.
All the UF and FSU coordinators from that timeframe became big name coaches elsewhere like Bob and Mark Richt.

Did I miss where he was interested in coaching again? I know its been a while and money talks, but if he truly was avoiding health issues, I dont see why rebuilding a program would be better than keeping a machine running.

Bob would make sense with the timing of the fire. For FSU to do it now you have to assume FSU admins are competent and have the next guy lined up. If it was Mark I find it hard to believe he'd leave mid season.
