Not sure what the downvote was for, but if someone could find UAB Football's Twitter post, they could find the latest rendering. I can't really post it here from my phone. Looks much better than the old rendering.

It’s the same pic posted in this thread plus one of the outside.

No, they posted a new one about an hour ago.

I believe you are looking at the pinned tweet from yesterday.

That's the Colorado State stadium.

I'm sure it will still look similar.

Honestly, great choice to rip off. CSU's stadium is the model to replicate if you're not building one of these mega stadiums.

I would bet the same design firm that did CSU's stadium is the one that designed the UAB proposal. It will be very similar to CSU's regardless. That is a great look at what it will be close to.

Can an XFL or the other football league play there? That would be cool.

The AAFL team would have to play its inaugural season at Legion but they are on record saying that they want teams in warm weather non-NFL cities so Birmingham will definitely get a look

I don't think they've hosted an NCAAT game either since 2008 because of the venue.

I was wondering why Birmingham hadn't hosted a tourney game in so long when it seemed pretty regular. Purdue waxed LSU's arse in Birmingham in 2003.

They should .....we used to have a team in Birmingham when these alternate leagues were around: Americans, Stallions, Barracudas (CFL expansion team)

Phil Savage was even trying to hint at moving the Senior Bowl away from Mobile given the quality that Ladd Stadium lacks.

that would be a bad move. mobile supports that game; financially and the fans show up and have a great time. who cares what the stadium looks like? it's good enough and it's an established tradition locally. the game isn't about "good looks", it's about the pro scouts getting to see and evaluate the non-star athletes and id athletes good enough for the NFL. personally, I think the NFL will keep that game in Mobile, which I think they should.

I don’t know if I’d say it would be a bad move. I think the Senior Bowl would do well in Bham. However, I couldn’t care less. Mobile does a good job with it, so I’d be fine with it staying.

It looks nice. I’m glad UAB got football back and out of Legion Field.
