THAY should have postponed that game between the bears and eagles in 88 I think. Fog bowl… you could not even see the field on tv.

George Carlin - Football is played in any kind of weather, rain, sleet, snow, hail, mud, can't read the numbers on the field, can't read the yardmarkers, can't read the players' numbers. The struggle will continue."

What a joke. It is entertainment at best. People want a show from those who earn millions.

Ice Bowl in the 60’s was far worse and they are legends!

“ Then why wasn’t it played Sunday since the weather will be the same”

It’s not going to be the same. Seriously, how hard is it to look up the winter storm report?

“ Because the weather leading up to the game Saturday night-Sunday AM is atrocious. The actual game time weather for Monday will be similar to the game time conditions on Sunday”

It takes time to clear 2 feet of snow in a metro area. I’ve lived in western ny. You clowns have no idea what you are talking about. Moving it back a day isn’t the end of the world

Hell with a football game. It’s down right horrible for the people of Buffalo.

Umm, that’s the entire point of my post

There is absolutely no way they could have played a football game tomorrow

People who have never experienced lake-effect storms don't understand how severe they are.

I could buy a steak dinner for myself and the wife for each time I have seen a dumbass compare the Apple weather crap app forecasts for KC and Buffalo in an attempt to prove a point. We have a ways to go before computer-generated hourly forecasts accurately communicate weather hazards to the public.

It isn't. Don't take your phone's computer-generated hourly forecast verbatim. Yes, it will still be snowing in Buffalo (and Orchard Park) tomorrow, but the lake-effect band will not be nearly as severe over Buffalo's south suburbs (southtowns) as it is tonight. The snow icon on your phone app doesn't communicate the difference- it just shows a snowflake when snow is in the forecast. In a sense, computer-generated forecasts lie to you because the display can lead users to misconstrue weather hazards.

It's a tough decision for the NFL and the government to make. Ultimately, they made the right call. No matter what their decision was, people would complain anyway, and their best judgment was to prevent thousands of fans from driving to the game in the storm. Like everyone else, I'd love to see the game played in the snow too, but the realistic option here was to move the game to Monday, which buys enough time to clear the thruway and other major roads in Buffalo and the southtowns.

Sorry for all the rambling. Whenever people talk weather, I'll always be all over it.

The Bills are asking for help shoveling snow.

Lake effect snow is bad and Buffalo always has it. Maybe it’s time to move the team to a place that doesn’t have have lake effect snow.

Please, go lookup who has had more games moved or postponed due to weather events:
