There it is. RC with the worst take of the night. Brings up people being frustrated with fantasy football.

That’s what you took out of that?

Some people are going to take anything RC says and twist it.

If it’s a heart attack that’s no way related to the hit, it happened to an elite human athlete. Life is wild.

If it was unrelated to the hit, it happened at basically the most opportune time for him. AED steps away, Ambulance on scene, and a level 1 trauma center 5 minutes away.

My mother is from Finland and I was watching the Switzerland vs Finland Euro game when the Danish player's eyes rolled in the back of his head and he collapsed. Thought I witnessed an athlete die on a field for the first time due to cardiac arrest. The guy ended up living and hopefully my previous statement change tonight.

You could, I don’t know, maybe change the channel. It’s in your control.

Commotio cordis is one of those things you only really read about :/

It happened up here last year to an 8 year old baseball player. He was playing catcher and got hit in the chest by a foul ball. Died on the field.

There's not a chance ESPN leaves this story.

Other news outlets don't replay TV shows when something tragic happens - they cover it.

For ESPN, this is them covering extremely rare news.

That’s not what he said. Y’all are making stuff up. He said these are real people.

I don’t know what he said. That’s why I asked “for real?”

So, I don’t know why you are lumping me in with the “Ryan Clark making stuff up” crowd

For those of you that are in the medical field, why would it have taken them 30 minutes to get him in the ambulance and out of the stadium?

I guess that they have to get him somewhat stable before they get him loaded?

Lisa Salters seems absolutely shook. She was on the sidelines, and experienced everything firsthand.

Which everyone knows. We don’t need RC telling us that we get upset when players don’t perform and reminding us they are people. He’s one of the worst offenders at that.

The Christian Eriksen thing is what is giving me hope he can pull through. For those that don’t know, look up the story. Very similar, at least from circumstance standpoint don’t know exactly how similar the medical side of things are.

Ryan Clark gets shite on, but he has such a unique perspective on this. I want to hear what he has to say.
