2007 Kansas - Jayhawks go 12-1 and have a fair argument about being BCS Title worthy.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe KU vs Mizzou that year was #1 v #2. wild

1990 was wild. I put 2001 up there also, with 2007 being the obvious.

2007 Hawaii. Really the whole 2007 season seemed like the football gods had each chosen a random team on their XBox to make into a contender out of nowhere.

Ain't that the truth. Turns out there is a large chasm between being able to design amazing passing plays and actually being able to run an offensive program.

Dude didn’t design shite. He just imported the Saints Sean Payton passing scheme and concepts. He deserves credit but he got way too much and Steve Ensminger got far too little. Of course this was by design because E didn’t want any attention

Gene Chizik was a better coordinator that he was a head coach.

2011 Oklahoma State. Not usually a national title contender. They should have been LSU's opponent in the national championship game, not Alabama.

Absolutely 2010 Auburn. They go 8-5 in 2009. Then run the table in 2010 going 14-0 with Cam. Then they go 8-5 again in 2011.
How many winning seasons did LSU have the two years after 2019?

Zero

Trying to think of some that hasn’t really been mentioned:

2007 Hawaii
2023 Liberty
2001 Illinois
2012 Kansas State

Marcus Lattimore

Unfortunately injuries killed his career a little over halfway through his Sophomore year. Had a great freshman year. He was on pace to have an even bigger sophomore year but tore a knee ligament against Mississippi State during that season. Got hurt again during his junior year. If he stayed healthy, he would have easily been one of top RBs in the country.
