2, not 3 Heisman's. Beano never said 3.

Jeff Francouer looked like he was gonna be a HOFer when he first came out. He was such a fun player to watch, and then he sucked.

Well true, it would be crazy to say 3 because they weren't giving the Heisman to freshmen...and if you win two, you aren't sticking around your senior year.

Beano Cook, a longtime college football analyst and commentator, took to ESPN to proclaim that Powlus would win multiple Heisman Trophies and lead the Irish to multiple national championships before the Berwick, Pa., standout ever stepped foot on campus in South Bend.

He was coming from the cradle of quarterbacks, PA...and then ended up playing in Amsterdam.

Man that is a GREAT answer.
He verbally, as a teenager, refused to play for the bArves bc he thought they would never win.. So the bArves in turn got this Larry Jones fella...
Yet van popple's jersey is still available to buy in the bArves clubhouse bc he briefly ended up on the team anyway... But no world series ring to show for it unlike that Larry kid

I got a Julian Green world cup jersey lol.

I will say this, his goal against Belgium was almost magical. Especially if Dempsey hits that training ground free kick.

Anyone mentioned Matt Barkley yet?? Coming out of H.S, he was supposed to be the next John Elway.

Also, RyanP11.

The reason I brought up Green is actually because I saw him get mentioned in the Pulisic thread on reddit yesterday. People were saying that despite how awesome that goal was it was probably the worst thing for him. All it did was raise these crazy expectations even higher even though he really had no business being on the World Cup roster. And since that World Cup, he really hasn't done anything and has no shot to play at Bayern right now. Hopefully they sell him this summer and he finally gets a chance to develop.

Mater Dei wanted to everyone to believe every quarterback they produced was the next Elway. I think Barkley was when recruiting services stopped taking them seriously.
