The Big 12 isn't taking a Mormon school.

Who in their fricking right mind would leave their conference to join the Big Ten at that point?

Memphis and/or UCF would, I think, do it in a heartbeat. Especially Memphis. They've been trying to get in with the one of the big boy conferences for forever.

You are mentally ill.

We'd be fighting for football even if Killary or comrade Bernie was president.

Nah... because then Covid would be treated as it should be... just like any other seasonal virus.

For many of the posters on this website, Nebraska football was the juggernaut of our childhood.

That fanbase deserves better than going down without a fight. I would think that at worst Nebraska could go independent and have no problem filling their schedule in the short term, even if it's against smaller conferences. I think that their passionate fanbase would help make up for the lost conference revenue with donations if they committed to playing football

Its one less losing record on their wiki page.

i was thinking the same thing this morning

especially if "short term" is just "2020"

like someone else joked, they don't have to join the SEC or Big12 but can be scheduled by a bunch of them

Anyone see that article from June where the new B10 commissioner stated flat out he wanted the conference to "take actions that could alter the election".

Looks like he wasn't joking.

If the big 10 kicks them out, why would Nebraska be penalized?

I think that was an empty threat, and it had more to do with PSU. And preventing other defections.

If Nebraska leaves, the Big 10 would sue, but ultimately settle for some figure.

Nebraska was always a better fit in the Big 12 anyway.

A good start at breaking the PAC 12 up would be the Big 12 inviting Arizona and Arizona State to join...

why and how would you break apart the PAC 12? They’re the only P5 conference with teams west of the Rockies. It’s not like the Big XII where you could split the teams among the SEC and Big Ten

Yeah if anything it would go the other way, but the way their leadership looks the PAC-12 probably would just let Texas take over and run the conference.
