Have to avoid another slow start though.
Cutch entering the season playing well should help w/ that, as opposed to last year.

Mets- the lineup doesnt scare me, but they have the best rotation in baseball and i dont think its close. 3. Nationals- the post sleeper hype team. Really good rotation, best hitter in baseball, healthy Rendon/Zimmerman + Revere/Murphy.

I love Andrew, I think he is a top 5 player in the game right now (wish MLB would promote him) but Pirates have some offensive issues that scare me....

Harrison was meh last year, Mercer was worse....

That's it. Cubs are out thanks to Peej. Sorry Cubbies, there is always next year.

On paper, it's gotta be the Cubs. The Nationals made some nice additions on offense, and have the pitching. As an aside, I'm anxious to see how many runs/home runs that Orioles lineup will put up. Blue Jays too.

There are a lot of contenders, and here are the teams that seem to be most likely to win 85+ games imo.

Mets
Nationals

Cubs
Cardinals
Pirates

Dodgers
Giants

Blue Jays
Red Sox
Yankees

Royals
Indians

Astros

My favorites are the Cubs, Nationals, and Indians right now.

The AL Central looks like the most unpredictable division to me. Anybody seems capable of winning and the winner may also top out at around 85 wins. I don't think the Royals repeat this year.

Blue Jays will be fun to watch but probably end up the consolation play-in game.

The 1)Astros would be my top AL Team as of now, coming in 6th on my list. I hate the strikeouts and rotation depth, but they have the best combination of speed/power/defense/bullpen in the AL. That puts them on top. Plus i really think AJ Reed is NEXT

2) Tigers- unconventional at this point in the game, but not many teams can boast a better 3 some than Miggy, JD martinez, and Upton in their lineup. When healthy I like how their top 3 SP set up. Bullpen is a question but they have hte pieces to be one of the top 3 offensive teams in the AL.

3) Red Sox- yea yea yea, blue jays blah blah blah. I think the Sox have a better rotation and top to bottom, harder outs in their lineup. Good mix of young and old. Carson Smith/Kimbrel give them a knockout back of bullpen.

if Corbin and De la Rosa step up and if Segura performs how he did several seasons ago with Tomas actually hitting I could see them being a surprise team in the West. Greinke, Miller, Corbin, and De La Rosa give them a better rotation than the Dodgers and Goldschmidt and Pollack give them the better players but do they have enough outside of that.

Blue Jays- "Full season" of Tulo plus Bautista, Donaldson, and Encarnacion should be a dangerous offense but will they have enough pitching

What counts as a full season of Tulo?

Yup Price could have and probably should have won the award. Dallas will have to prove last year was not a fluke since he doesn't strike out a ton of guys per his career. His FIP over the past 2 years is higher than his actual ERA and his K/9 improved dramatically, was it a fluke or a sign of things to come going into his age 28 year? So he has to improve in order to maintain what he has done. If you do not believe so I am sorry for you.
