Jordan was the one you wanted the ball in his hands with time running out

How do you think his game would translate to current day? I think he would be great, he even had a jump shot

Yeah, this is probably it

Shaq would be another prime contender since the league literally had to create rules to nerf him.

In terms of most talented scorer, not talking dominance of their era? Jordan, Durant, Curry, Bird, West, Kareem, Hakeem were/are all insanely skilled at the art of scoring(no particular order).

You can argue Steph was a better scorer.

No one is or was a way better scorer than Kobe. Not Steph. Not MJ. No one. Ever.

Its all about era and rules, and conditions. What whistles you get will matter quite a lot.

If I want a high percentage look, its Chamberlain. If I want a shot I know can't be blocked, its Kareem. If its a shot to put a dagger in someone, I'd want Michael. If its a shot to put me ahead at the end of a game, I want Bird.

Raw scoring? Everyone offers something different, and you can add in a dozen other credible candidates without it being outlandish-- you tell me George Gervin, and I'm not going to gainsay it much. The differences here are almost all preferential.

Actually I think the only guy who was ever shown to be "clutch" in those situations was

...

...

drumroll

Carmelo Anthony

So many people saying Kobe

Lebron is a much better scorer than Kobe ever was. MUCH better.

Lebron is behind Durant by a frog hair and when both of their careers are over, there is a chance Lebron has better scoring numbers. At their 5/8/10 year primes Durant will have better numbers so I wouldn’t argue with anyone that Durant was slightly better at scoring than Lebron.

Yeah, I don’t know what definition people are using for a “scorer”, but Kobe was never really efficient. He scored a lot because he took a lot of shots, but he was mediocre in regards to efficiency. League average true shooting percentage is 56-57% in the current NBA (Steph is 62% for his career) and around 54% during Kobe’s time, Kobe was 55% for his career.
