The only three elite athletes born in our birth year are Messi, Novak Djokovic and Sidney Crosby. The crop of American athletes is extremely weak. The only good basketball player is Mike Conley and maybe Andrew Bynum when he was at his peak, I can't find a single top NFL player and baseball only has Goldschmidt, Michael Brantley and Jose Abreu. Oh well. At least we have arguably the GOAT soccer player and two of the all-time greats in hockey and tennis.
