I have wanted this for awhile now and think it would be awesome to do an outdoor PPV somewhere like Fenway or Yankee Stadium. Maybe overseas in a soccer stadium.

Doubt the promotion would ever do an outdoor event, but what would be cool to see?

They’ve done outdoor events before.

I remember an event in Abu Dhabi being outdoors.

Edit: UFC 112 was in Abu Dhabi and it was outdoors.

They've done them in Australia.

Biggest problem they have is the weather.

It would have to be a stadium with a retractable roof like Cowboy Stadium.

Better do it in an arid region because you can’t leave that kind of financial investment in the hands of mother nature.

They have the Death Star literally blocks away in Vegas and still have never used it to my knowledge.

Simple fact is, I don't know if UFC, even at this stage, can sell out a football stadium. Even Prime Conor McGregor wanted to do that stadium but it never got any traction.

Dana is also cheap, so he probably doesnt want to take a chamce on paying that much to rent a venue and taking a chance it doesn't fill up.

You'd essentially have to have a stacked card with huge names that make a lot of money to sell one out. And that kind of hurts the rest of your year when you do that.

You'd basically need something featuring all of these guys to have a shot: Poatan, Jones, Islam, Porier, Illia, Gaethje, etc on the card. Each one of those guys headlines or co-mains every year as it is.

Poirier could sell out the Caesars Superdome in hours.

I wonder if the octagon would fit in the Club La Vela pool.

According to Dana it’s unlikely that they will ever do another outdoor show. He seems dead set against it.

This would actually be a great idea for a Fight Night Card. Would definitely sell out.

I actually support this! Also, UFC doesn’t have the star power they use to.

Things will get better as soon as someone finds an effective counter to the dagastani fence humpers that have taken over the sport.
