Kevin Butler he didn't strike out his Sr year and played at Southern til he flunked out from being on drugs. He went to rehab and is living a pretty normal life. His cousin played for the Bears a couple seasons. He was a helluva football player to.

If that isn't hyperbole, I don't know what is.

Barry Butera blew out his knee. He was taking BP with the Red Sox and Ted Williams watched and said he was going to be the next great hitter

The backyard lacked the coaching to develop that kind of talent. That and the drugs did him in.

Toe Nash

Guy had all the talent in the world and just couldnt stay out of trouble. I was at a tryout for the Pirates and Nash showed up about 30 mins late. At first they werent goinv to let him tryout but whoever was with Nash convinced them to let him make a few throws. Nash did a few easy throws from the mound to the plate and about the 5th throw paints the corner at 93mph. I was amazed bc I had heard all about the guy over the years but never saw him in person until that day. From what I understand they were going to give him a shot but he was arrested a few times right after that and never heard about him since. Really sad how someone could piss away all that talent.
