Hahnville had a pair of championships in the early 90's, and one in 03. They are looking to make a run this year as well.

Rustons last state championship was in 1990, that was probably one of the best high school teams I have ever seen. Ruston played in the state championship game in 1998 against West Monroe and lost. Ruston has made some decent runs but the 1980s was when they were at their best.

Seen them and they were 3rd at best imo. Evangel's passing offense would've been to complex for Chick to figure out. He was a great coach, but the game has changed. The spread would've fricked his world up.

West Monroe also beats the Mississippi 4A state champs Clarksdale.
That team was amazing...not as talented as the 1998 team, but better than the 1990 Ruston team.
