Archie Manning
Manning was the starting quarterback at Ole Miss for three years. In the first national prime time broadcast of a college football game (1969), Manning threw for 436 yards and three touchdowns, also rushing for 104 yards, in a 33-32 loss to Alabama. That 540-yard performance is still tied for the SEC record for most total yards in a game.

I just think Frazier is one of the most overrated players ever.
People remember him highly in large part because of the great final game (for good reason), but I don't think he is one of the top college QBs of all time.
He was a good runner, but he also had Lawrence Phillips and Ahman Green (not to mention a ridiculous OL) in the backfield with him. Pretty hard to screw that up.
And he was a terrible passer. His best accuracy #'s was his senior year at 57%.
I'd have him in my Top 10 at best.

Say what you will about him, but Matt Leinart had one of--if not the--best college careers ever by a QB. Ken Dorsey had a nice career himself.

he was the ultimate big game college QB. He is the only player ever to be named the MVP of 3 national title games.

that along with 17 tds and 4 ints is a terrible passer? esp in the early-mid 90's before all passing stats were inflated?

Matt Leinart - maybe not the best, but certainly in the discussion.

you also have to toss out Roger Staubach in this conversation.

I think Jim Plunkett has to be mentioned in this category.
