Baseball. Kid was drafted in the second round. Knew that game I was not pro material. He was a bust.

When I was in grad school I used to play regular pick up hoops with some friends. One day Kyrie walked in with a few "no names" from the team. Walk ons and such, they were all a good six inches taller than us I feel like. They probably thought we looked like easy pickings. We were. It only lasted maybe ten minutes, but he was cooking. He was basically unguardable for us. I'd say it's because we were awestruck and didn't want to play him tough, but even as a kid he was nasty. It's not saying much, but at least I can say the last person to take my ankles was a number one overall draft pick. Funny part is, as good as he was, it was very obvious that he wasn't going all out. But the dudes he was with, the dudes whose names don't even exist anymore, who barely played, they didn't hold back at all. They were all about throwing alleys and "embarrassing" some grad students who couldn't give two shits about them

Baseball: 1A) Homer Bailey 2A) Scott Kazmir - Both through in the high 90's effortlessly in high school. There would be at least 40 scouts with radars wherever they pitched.

Football: Andrew Luck - Took a notoriously bad high school team to the fourth round of highest level of Texas high school football playing games in NRG.

Basketball: Gerald Green - Leaped like no other.

That Family Christian Academy team was incredible, with Mewelde, Michael Clayton and Will Watson.

Chris Jackson at Gulfport High. Played them in a tourny my senior year. We were up 16 in 3rd quarter. 6 possessions later, we were down 2. Dude was unstoppable

Played against Dak in high school.

Also played against the Cecchini brothers in baseball.

But the best athlete I ever played with or against was a guy named DeAngelo Brooks. The guy could squat 700 lbs. and go out and run a 4.4. He was a freak of a defensive end for us. Ended up playing at Louisiana Tech for a couple years. He just wasn’t a very tall or big guy.

I'm old...played against, Emmitt Smith..but watched in high school...Prime Time and Bimbo Coles (would have been a hell of a football player also)

Another thing in high school that went terribly wrong was I used to do all these wrestling tournaments...I was a sophomore or jr and Dave Szott treated me like a rag doll

Playing against Hester and John David Booty just sucked in high school. We even had Matt Forte but couldn't keepup.

I was talking practice but yeah we were good. I think we went three years undefeated if that was even a thing in middle school.

Jason Miller for Iota was an absolute beast of a RB in high school. He was Mr. Football in 2001, and went on to play for McNeese.

Darryl Wilson who was on Miss. State's final four team. The dude was a deadly shooter. He probably scored 40 on me without breaking a sweat and laughed at me the whole game. I did drive past him and made a layup to which he said "maybe that'll get you laid"

I played against Steve Kerr in a Christmas tournament in Las Vegas. He absolutely abused our guards and had like 40 out of their 6o points
