UL is a notch below Tulane and even La Tech in athletics historically. They have a higher ceiling than Tech or ULM but I don't think any of their fans would argue they'll be a serious competitor with LSU lol
I don’t think many of our fans think that but for some reason, there’s also a small number of LSU fans who bring it up.
On the other hand, there’s no denying that none of our fans wouldn’t want that level of success. Who wouldn’t? So if an LSU fan gets offended by that, so be it. It should be a compliment.

Nice way to dodge my question,
Yeah it always bothers me when someone ‘respectfully’ lies and says that I said something that I did not.
Mr ‘know your place’ that doesn’t support his school.
Have a nice day to you as well,

Yeah they tend to be the dumber ones, think changing the name will make UL a competitor somehow, so they insist on using ULL. Ohio U and Texas State aren't benefitting from their names

No.
What I find funny is that the contingent of LSU fans who hate the Cajuns seems to fall into two categories:
1.) Blue collar Acadiana folk who never went to college and think of LSU as a pro team they are a fan of.
2.) Graduates of other small schools don’t don’t actually root or support their alma mater.

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!!! Especially #2
And this whole thing about not being competitors to lsu. So wrong, on so many different levels, then when someone says that it actually takes my breath away.

It's just a message board, it's not that serious. I have no reason to lie, if it was a mistake, I take it back.

But I think that is is really the core of the whole issue: what is the ceiling for UL sports?
No, we are not in the same neighborhood in FB at this time, but very close in most other sports. And I truly believe that Savoie/Maggard/Napier are building a tremedous foundation now, and for the future.
I think we are already knocking on the door of being a serious contender for a top G5 school, and who knows after that?
I believe in the Cajun people, the cULture, and think we have a lot of potential to keep growing.
After all, if Mississippi can have 2 P5 teams, lol, so can we. Heck, they are the only state that are worse than us in every other category.

reading comprehension is not your skillset, buddy. I was not at all saying we are equal to your team. But there are still lots of reasons why your 'just know your place' post is wrong.

It was a good win for the Lafayette Ragin Cajuns.

Ohio U
Was the first chartered university in Ohio...so I doubt they care about cool points, and they had Ohio U before there was a the Ohio State University.
