lol what? The bengals scored 25+ in 6 of the games the team lost., 30+ in 4 losses. The defense was not good.

You fire the DC that was left with no talent because you pay offensive players. Got it!

Burrow may restructure his contract

This is the only way they'll be able to give Chase what he deserves.

Mahomes and Brady won many SBs without a true WR1. They need to focus on oline and defense if they want to win in a sustainable way.

they've got to spend some money

They’re the cheapest organization in the league. There’s a reason Carson Palmer told Joe to think long before going there.

The Bengals are known as cheap....I do not think the head coach is at fault.....while he is not the best in the league, ownership and management gets the blame, IMO.

Joe is in a money conscience organization, it's that simple. Mr. Burrow is doing the absolute best he can!

Surely Joey B has earned the right to demand they hire Coach O in some capacity.

They will have to build through the draft and sign older players to put together a good defense.

They are going to have to drop chase unfortunately and spend it on high end for cheaper and get some lineman on both sides and a solid pass catching rb

Yeah maybe restructure and drop chase he has earned his right to more money but they already have the best qb imo. Need to let burrow earn the mo way with decent not extraordinary WR.

Need a good rb, and some decent wrs and outstanding lineman to lean on

Qb, OLine, d line and CBs are what is needed spend money on those areas I think is the recipe

No shite. Doesn’t change the fact that he’s the problem.

I'd imagine you probably want them to pay Tee Higgins too after seeing how their offense looked without him Saturday.

FWIW, Tee already said publically he doesn't care (as much) about the money, he wants to stay with Joe and Ja'Marr.

But that said, the Bengals have a total salary of $221M this year. That's 19th in the league, and means they have about $57M in cap space.

Now, money isn't everything - the Saints are #1 in salary at $354M and they're over the cap by like $78M. But Kansas City spends $36M more than the Bengals. Buffalo spends $50M more than the Bengals.

The Bengals have consistently been pretty cheap. If they want to win, they have to loosen up the purse strings a bit.

They also need to get better coaching, and better luck re: injuries, no doubt. But they're wasting Joe's prime years. And reducing the number of them.

Zac Taylor is a good head coach. He is in part directly responsible for the success for Burrow/Chase as he’s an offense minded guy. If you watched the bengals at all this year you’d know their issues were all on the defensive side of the ball.

Hard to be a playoff team every year in this league and firing Taylor would be pretty premature

There is absolutely no reason to spend money on a RB. Chase Brown basically replaced Mixon’s output and he’s on a rookie minimum contract

Great, now just kick Taylor out the door and that will tell me they are serious about change.

The Bengals aren’t really known for firing coaches, so that would be kind of a shock to see. Marvin Lewis was there for 16 years and never won a playoff game

It’s a misnomer that the bengals don’t spend money. They’ve just had major issues developing draft picks since the Chase draft. Not a single pro bowler. Chase Brown is probably the best of the bunch and again, no pro bowl.

Hopefully as you say, they invest appropriately and find some pieces outside of the draft. They are in “win now” mode.

Looks like they're keeping him for at least another year...Joe, Jamarr, and Trey Hendrickson saved his job

They should. Its an embarassment to have the offense they have and not make the playoffs bc your defense and special teams suck.

Yep, they've gone out and signed/drafted guys at positions of need and essentially none of them have worked out.

He's really not. And he's not a good playcaller either. The only good thing he does is manage the locker room and I think that's mostly on Burrow being a dynamic leader.
